Sanders has been a performer and clinician in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Previously, Christian was Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at The University of Central Arkansas, and Lecturer of Tuba and Euphonium at Northern Arizona University. In the concert hall, Christian has performed in 47 different states and 12 countries across the globe with ensembles such as Rhythm and Brass, Proteus 7, Arizona Musicfest, and the national tour of Chicago. He is also an award-winning arranger and highly sought-after clinician across the globe. In the marching music world, he serves as Brass Caption Head for the Phantom Regiment and a wind instructor for the Aimachi Drum and Bugle Corps from Nagoya, Japan. Holding degrees from Ithaca College and Arizona State University, Christian is an accomplished performer, educator, and artist. Christian Carichner is currently Assistant Director of Bands and Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium in the Department of Music at Iowa State University.
